ATSUSHI KOMORI was born in 1928 in Bombay, India. He worked in the Ueno Zoo and Tama Zoo both in Tokyo for many years and now, is the Councilor of the Japanese Association of Zoological Gardens and Aquariums.

ATUSHI KOMORI was born in 1940 in Osaka, western part of Japan. He worked in a publishing company for some years, and then became a free-lance illustrator. He is a self-taught illustrator whose specialty is animal/birds with very accurate artwork for picture books, scientific books and others.
