著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

岸田 衿子
ERIKO KISHIDA is a poet and an author of numerous children‘s books. She studied oil-painting and graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts. She began writing poetry when she became ill and was not able to paint. Writing verses came naturally to her; she had been fascinated by verses since childhood. Her first children’s book,“Wake Up Hippo!” was adopted from her book of verses,“Animals Twelve Months.” In recent years, she has worked with Yuriko Yamawaki on numerous children‘s books. She now lives in the foothills of Mt. Asama, where nature and small animals inspire her to write stories.

YURIKO YAMAWAKI was born in Tokyo. She studied at and graduated from the French Department of Sophia University in Tokyo. Her illustration career began when she collaborated with Rieko Nakagawa, her elder sister, and illustrated for Rieko‘s story about two field mice named Guri and Gura. The book was well received, and she has been illustrating countless children‘s books since then. Her style of illustration may seem siple and uncalculated, though it effectively provokes children to experience strange warm feeling. Her popularity among children is undeniable.(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
